Photo I at Augusta State University
was a class of roughly five Art majors and six non-majors. Assignments
began with a consideration of aperture, shutter speed, and point of view
in making compositions. We then moved into "the Photographer's Sampler":
a variety of types of portraiture, of cityscapes and landscapes. Given
my interest in multi-media and manipulated imagery, a short assignment
involved manipulating imagery through solarization, paper negatives, toning,
and/or painting into the photograph. We finally ended with a short series
assignment which introduced the concept of creating a series of inter-related
images.
